Bent But Not Broken
Fille d’Abraham CIC is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uplifting women, girls, and families facing emotional, social, spiritual, and practical challenges. The organisation was incorporated on 27 March 2025 in England and Wales under Company Number 16348949 and operates as a private company limited by guarantee without share capital, ensuring that its activities are carried out for the benefit of the community.
Based in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Fille d’Abraham CIC was founded from lived experience and a deep desire to help others overcome adversity. We understand that many women and girls face challenges such as loneliness, trauma, domestic abuse, emotional distress, low self-esteem, financial hardship, and social exclusion. Through compassionate support, mentoring, wellbeing programmes, education, and community engagement, we help individuals rebuild confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
As a Community Interest Company, our purpose is to create positive social impact by delivering services and activities that strengthen individuals, support families, and contribute to healthier, more connected communities. We provide emotional support, health and wellbeing initiatives, mentoring, workshops, community events, faith-based encouragement, humanitarian assistance, and practical support for vulnerable individuals and families.
Our work is inspired by the biblical account in Luke 13 of the woman who was bent over for many years and later received healing and restoration. Her story reflects the heart of our mission and the meaning behind our motto:
“Bent But Not Broken”
"At Fille d’Abraham, we are here to pray, listen, encourage, support and help people rebuild their confidence and hope again.”

FounderWhat Make Us Different

Emotional Support
At Fille d'Abraham, we recognise that many women and girls face emotional challenges such as loneliness, grief, rejection, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, family difficulties, relationship breakdowns, domestic abuse, and other life struggles. These experiences can have a significant impact on confidence, wellbeing, relationships, and the ability to move forward positively. We understand that emotional pain is often carried in silence, which is why we are committed to providing compassionate support to those who need it most.
Our emotional support service offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where women and girls can speak openly about their experiences, feelings, and concerns. We believe that being listened to with empathy and understanding can be a powerful first step towards healing and recovery. Our aim is to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.
We provide one-to-one listening sessions where individuals can share their experiences in a supportive and respectful setting. Through encouragement, guidance, and mentoring, we help women and girls build confidence, resilience, and self-worth while supporting them through difficult personal circumstances. We also offer ongoing emotional support to help individuals navigate challenges and work towards positive change in their lives.

Health & Wellbeing Support
At Fille d'Abraham, we believe that good health and wellbeing are essential for individuals, families, and communities to thrive. Many women and girls face challenges that can affect their physical, emotional, mental, and social wellbeing. Through our health and wellbeing initiatives, we provide support, education, encouragement, and practical resources that help people make informed choices and improve their quality of life.
We recognise that wellbeing extends beyond physical health. It includes emotional resilience, mental wellness, healthy relationships, self-confidence, and the ability to participate fully in community life. Our programmes are designed to empower women and girls to take positive steps towards healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.
We deliver health and wellbeing support through a range of activities, including health awareness workshops, self-care programmes, emotional resilience sessions, healthy lifestyle education, women's health awareness initiatives, stress management workshops, confidence-building activities, and wellbeing discussions. We also provide signposting and referrals to specialist health and support services when additional assistance is needed.
Community connection is an important part of wellbeing. Through peer support groups, community events, and wellbeing activities, we help reduce isolation, strengthen social networks, and create opportunities for women and girls to connect with others who understand their experiences. We also offer faith-based encouragement and holistic wellbeing support for those who wish to incorporate spiritual wellbeing into their journeys.

Workshops
At Fille d'Abraham, our workshops are designed to educate, inspire, and empower women and girls by providing practical knowledge, valuable life skills, and personal development opportunities. We create supportive learning environments where participants can gain confidence, share experiences, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections with others.
Our workshops address the real-life challenges faced by women and girls and equip them with tools to improve their wellbeing, strengthen their resilience, and achieve their personal, educational, and professional goals.
Our workshops are inclusive, supportive, and accessible. We encourage active participation and create safe spaces where women and girls feel respected, heard, and valued. We focus on practical solutions, personal growth, and empowerment, helping participants develop the confidence and skills needed to overcome challenges and create positive change in their lives.
At Fille d'Abraham, we believe that knowledge empowers, skills create opportunities, and supportive communities help people thrive. Our workshops provide women and girls with the tools, encouragement, and confidence they need to build brighter futures.
Together, we learn, grow, and succeed.
